My world as I knew it collapsed in 2009. So I packed my backpack and headed off to Spain to do the 800km walk called “Camino de Santiago”.
The first day was the hardest where I had to cross the Pyrenees and I thought I would have to give up when suddenly the song “Ave Maria” started playing in my head and I kept on walking and could not feel my sore feet or painful back anymore. 30 days later when I arrived in Santiago de Compostela, street musicians played the song “Ave Maria” right before I´ve reached the cathedral :)
The shell and cross are the symbols & protection for pilgrims. The arrow is one of those countless arrows that show you “the way” along the route.
The tattoo was done in Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in “Hipnosis Centro” Rúa de Berna 10.
